BereanByte makes software for churches and the organisations that serve their communities.
What we do
BereanByte Ltd is a software studio. We make our own products, starting with PulpitCue, and we build bespoke software for churches, charities, schools and businesses through Work with us.
Why the name
The Bereans in Acts 17 are remembered for examining the Scriptures to see whether what they heard was true. We borrowed the spirit of that: software that helps people stay close to the text and think for themselves, not software that thinks for them.
How we build
- Ease of use. Volunteers should be confident after one session, so we write the training alongside the software.
- Private by design. Where we can, software runs on your own computer and your content stays there.
- Honest software. We tell you plainly what our software cannot do. PulpitCue's suggestions can be wrong, so you always stay in control of what is on screen.
- Open about problems. Known limitations and release notes are public on the release history page.
