PulpitCue

by BereanByte

Church presentation software that brings Scripture to the screen.

PulpitCue combines Bible projection, song lyrics and service planning for church media teams on Mac and Windows. It listens to the preacher on your own device, finds the verses being read or quoted, and brings them to your projector and livestream with operator approval or optional hands-free control.

Listens to the sermon

The verse is on screen before the congregation turns the page.

PulpitCue follows the preacher with speech recognition that runs entirely on your computer. It opens the passage when it is announced and follows the reading, verse by verse.

  • Spoken references like “John three sixteen” are recognised
  • Quoted verses and retold stories appear as suggestions with the evidence shown
  • Hands-free is optional, and stops where the preacher stops

Runs the whole service

Songs, slides and the order of service in one place.

Build your lyric library, design slides or import them, and run the entire service from a single planner. Whatever you put on screen last is exactly what the screens show.

  • Lyric search that shows the matching lines, in any language you tag
  • Slides from PDF, PowerPoint or Keynote, or designed in the built-in editor
  • Split screen: lyrics beside bank details, a lower third, or a corner slide

Projector, livestream, stage monitor and LED wall.

Send the right thing to each place. A clean lower third for OBS or vMix, full screen for the projector, a confidence monitor for the platform, and NDI with transparency.

  • Several independent outputs, each with its own design
  • Exact-pixel layouts for LED walls
  • Countdowns, messages and per-layer clear keys

Questions

About PulpitCue.

What is PulpitCue?+
PulpitCue is church presentation software by BereanByte for macOS and Windows. It combines Bible projection, live Scripture detection, worship lyrics, slides, service planning and separate projector, livestream and stage-monitor outputs.
Can PulpitCue find Bible verses from a live sermon?+
Yes. PulpitCue uses speech recognition on your own device to recognise spoken Bible references and suggest passages being read or quoted. Suggestions wait for the operator by default. Optional hands-free mode can advance Scripture during a reading, but recognition depends on clear microphone audio.
Does PulpitCue work with OBS and vMix?+
PulpitCue provides separate livestream outputs, including lower thirds, for use with OBS or vMix. NDI output and split-screen presentation are licensed features. See the screens and outputs guide for setup.
Is speech recognition accurate enough to trust?+
It is good, and we are honest about its limits. It works from a machine transcript, so loud music or a quiet microphone will make it less reliable. By default every suggestion waits for the operator. Hands-free is optional and has guardrails.
Which Bible versions are included?+
Public-domain versions are included. NIV, ESV and NKJV are not, but licensed versions can be imported.
How do licences work?+
A licence includes the number of seats you choose. Each seat activates one Mac or Windows device and can be moved to another device. Monthly and yearly plans charge a lower rate for every additional seat after the first; lifetime licences are priced per seat without a multi-seat discount. A subscription keeps working for a short grace period after a payment is due. A lifetime licence includes all non-cloud updates we release, including UI enhancements, fixes and new local features, with no first-year cutoff. Cloud-based services are not included and may require a separate plan.
What happens when my trial ends?+
Everything stays yours and the free version keeps working forever: songs, Bible, slides, the service planner, outputs, stage monitor and remote, with a small watermark that appears briefly on the screens. Live captions, Scripture detection, hands-free, AI sermon notes, NDI and split screen need a licence.
Can I work offline?+
Yes. A full service can run with no internet. A subscription computer checks in about every two weeks (with a week of warning), and a lifetime computer about every month. If it cannot, it drops to the free version, never to an error, and returns to full as soon as it reconnects.
